A seasoned trial attorney with 30 years of practice, Byron Fleck is held in high esteem by Judges and Counsel throughout Federal and California State Courts. In court filings, Byron has been named a top trial attorney in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Fleck is a Partner and Chair of Hannig Law LLP’s Silicon Valley Practice. Byron’s joining Hannig Law, LLP in 2019 is a homecoming of sorts. He began his legal career at Ropers, Majeski in 1989 as a clerk and later as an associate to now Hannig Law’s Managing Partner, Ted Hannig. While their legal paths moved separately since 1996, they remained close, sharing the same guiding principles of excellence, preparation and managing cases economically for their respective clients.
Byron is a native of Western Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of The University of Pittsburgh BA, Chancellor’s Fellow and Cum Laude. From Pitt, he obtained his Masters Degree in International Finance at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
After a distinguished career in international banking and finance, including resident stints in Buenos Aires and, later, Brussels where he served as Vice President and Treasurer, Westinghouse Nuclear International charged with structuring complex multi-billion dollar project financings, Mr. Fleck returned to the United States to obtain his JD from The University of the Pacific.
Thereafter, Byron concentrated his practice in Business, Real Estate, Land Use, Employment Law and Civil Rights representing Silicon Valley Corporations, Startups, Real Estate Developers, Employers and Employees on both litigation and transactional matters.
Notably, Mr. Fleck was invited and did present before the United Nations in Vienna on the topic of Multi-Country Project Financing for Developing Countries, served as Chair of the Santa Clara Planning Commission, named University of Pittsburgh Alumni Volunteer of the Year and authored papers on major international finance and assorted legal issues.
Mr. Fleck is fluent in French.
